The National Library of Technology – NTK – is proud to announce its fifth Doctoral Summer School for Early-Career Researchers. The event will take place on September 1–2, 2026 in Prague and is organized by NTK in collaboration with its partners, UCT Prague, ČAD, and SK RVŠ.

Join us for the Doctoral Summer School at NTK for two days of inspiring workshops, lectures, and networking.
What can you expect?
- Keynote Lectures by two researchers – Dr. Aleš Kudrnáč and Dr. Tomáš Pluskal – will give you an overview of how to navigate successful and sustainable research careers in different disciplines.
- Workshop with Dr. Sabine Preusse will introduce you to the principles of successful grant application writing and discuss key aspects of funding opportunities.
- Workshop with Dr. Radka Pittnerová will address the role of visual communication in science and help you apply core visualization principles to designing a scientific poster.
- Workshop with Dr. Jan Froněk will focus on decision-making in academia, giving you the opportunity to learn useful, hands-on techniques you can apply in your career decision-making and beyond.
- Discussion Session involving the active participation of ombudspersons, researchers, and experts from different institutions will focus on equal opportunities in Czech science. You will learn more about your rights and opportunities, and also get the chance to ask the experts present about issues of your choice.
