National Library of Technology (NTK) is inviting you to the traditional series of free webinars for early-career researchers. We’ll be covering topics such as searching for resources, research data management, AI in Academia, searching in Web of Science & Scopus databases, and more.
The list of all webinars is available here.
Have you ever lost your research data, or worried you might? Do you plan to compete for a grant or are you part of a team working on one right now? Start your project on the right track with our Introduction to Research Data Management (RDM). Learn how to keep your data safe, well-organized, and reusable. Good RDM will not only save you headaches, but also make research and publishing easier, and help you stand out in your research career.
When: Wednesday, April 8 (10:00–11:30)
Where: Online
Who should participate?
This webinar is intended mainly for graduate students and early-career researchers who are dealing with research data while writing theses, scientific articles, or grant proposals. Additionally, newly appointed data stewards might use this as a good starting point to get themselves oriented in the new field. But anyone interested in an introduction to RDM is welcome to attend.
What topics will be covered?
This webinar provides a brief introduction to RDM with some practical suggestions to consider before starting a research project, including:
- Why is it important to manage my research data?
- RDM in the context of Open Science and the FAIR principles.
- How do I store and share my research data?
Would you like to learn practical tips for organizing, documenting, and publishing your research data? Join our webinar.
The webinar will be conducted using ZOOM software.
Materials:
Slides and other presented materials will be available in NTK Moodle for Early Career Researchers.
The topic of dataset preparation and publishing will be covered in a subsequent webinar on Dataset preparation and publishing – Zenodo and other repositories.
